Moose Market is one of my favorite local lunch spots. I have been eating here since before it was even Moose Market. Several years ago they used to be located further down Gilmer Road and it was called Mama Moose. I have never had a bad meal here and the atmosphere is wonderful. Some of my favorites are the grilled chicken wrap, chicken enchiladas, tortilla soup, meat loaf, and chicken spaghetti. They have their daily menu to pick from and then each day there are a few different lunch specials. Most of my favorites are lunch specials. Don't even get me started on the desserts. These are some of the best you will have anywhere. From the coconut cake to the moose cake - it's all delicious!

This is a locally owned restaurant. They have soups, sandwiches, salads, specials and the most wonderful homemade desserts.  Desserts include cookies, cakes, pies and pudding. The banana pudding is the best. This place is clean and the staff is friendly. Stop by and check it out you won't be disappointed. They're open from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m.

    Middle of the Road.
We have heard of this name rarely here and there but never been by this place. It was packed and full when we went in.
JG score of 1 from us this visit (+1 for food, 0 for atmosphere, 0 for price, 0 for no Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service and 0 for we probably won't return)
What reviews we could find about this place mentioned the Tortilla Soup and the Banana Pudding....both being called the best in the world or something. We also got sandwiches each. The best thing we ate was the banana pudding. We wouldn't call it best in the world but it was good like someone's grandma would make....but did not stand out. That was really it. The chicken salad sandwich and the Cuban and the chicken salad was good but not outstanding. The Cuban was just average and anyone could make at home. The tortilla soup was also just average and lacking on the tortilla...all of it was healthy and okay.
The atmosphere was a draw. The building was nice outside and inside and the decorations were nice inside especially those wooden fishes that were hung up. However, it was cramped and very loud.
The price is misleading here as is many healthier food places. A lady can easily eat for under $15 but if a guy is hungry and gets a sandwich, cup of soup, drink and a dessert then it will be about $20.
No Diet Dr Pepper only Diet Coke.
    The service was just typical.
We will not go back. It was definitely not bad, just average for us. Very much so a gathering place for young ladies and health minded people.

It's like eating at grandma's house.  You can choose from their standard but great sandwich, salad and soup menu.  Also there are daily specials which are varied traditional classics.  What I love is the great down home seasonings.  No matter if it's purple hull peas, lima beans or turnip greens it's all great.  Nothing like the plain stuff at chain restaurants.  You gotta come try it...

The food was very good.  Had the taco salad.  Meat was well seasoned and the chips were very crunchy. It would've been nice to have a little more vegetables than lettuce and tomato but overall was a good salad.  My colleagues had the half chicken sandwich and soup. The soups looked delicious!  Every dish I sought in the place looked good enough to eat.
